Epcot’s NEW Nighttime Spectacular is HarmonioUS!
We now have a name and more details about the new nighttime show to replace Epcot Forever…which is replacing IllumiNations for a limited time…after September 30th. (So much coming to Epcot! So much to keep track of!)

After it was announced Illuminations would take its final bow Sept 30th, to be followed temporarily by Epcot Forever, we were eager to hear what the NEXT replacement would be! The new long-term IllumiNations shows that OUR kids will grow up with. Well, we still don’t know much; but we DO know the NAME!
The new show will be called HarmonioUS! And it’s GONNA. BE. HUGE.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the show will be the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney Park. It sounds kind of like a combo of Rivers of Light and the current IllumiNations show — massive floating set pieces, dancing fountains, fireworks, lasers — the whole works.
The music, though, will be the most important part of HarmonioUS (FYI, that’s going to get annoying that I have to capitalize the last two letters every single time I type HarmonioUS for the next 20 years…just sayin. Maybe my computer will get smart and start doing it for me eventually.). The goal, as was the case with IllumiNations, is to inspire a global community and evoke a feeling of “we’re all on the same team here.” But this time they’re using Disney music to do it. Sounds like Disney’s goal is to bring more…Disney…into the show, with “familiar Disney tunes reinterpreted.” So no more escaping Disney IP at Epcot, y’all!
Anyway, that’s what we know so far! And we only have a month to wait (or to SOB if you’re a huge IllumiNations fan) before we see Epcot Forever for the first time, with HarmonioUS coming in 2020!
