Celebrate the Haunted Mansion’s 50th Anniversary with Spooktacular Eats and Treats at Disneyland Resort

Welcome foodie mortals! In case you didn’t know, the Haunted Mansion will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on August 9th.

Not only will Disneyland be ghost hosting a Haunted Mansion event but both Disneyland and Disney World will be selling exclusive merchandise and treats.

So, let’s check out the new treats that will materialize at Disneyland Resort on August 9th. 

Rancho del Zocalo

Our tour begins at Rancho del Zocalo. Here you’ll find The Long Forgotten Duelist Tacos. These are two fry bread tacos with grilled fajita beef and braised butter chicken. The meal will be served with Mexican rice and pickled veggies.

Hunny Spot

At Hunny Spot, you will find a Haunted Mansion Crispie treat!  

Churro Carts

Hurry over to the New Orleans Churro Cart for the Bride Churro. According to Disney, it’s an “elegantly-dressed churro in a bouquet of vanilla and sugar.”

And what’s a bride without her groom? You’ll find the Groom Churro at the Critter Country Churro Cart. It will be a classic churro with both dark and milk chocolate.

Hungry Bear

Hitchhike your way to Hungry Bear for the Dead-cadent Funnel Cake. This will be a house funnel cake with a brownie, white chocolate raspberry ice cream, and chocolate pearls.

There will also be The Caretaker. This is a crispy pork belly that has been seasoned with house spices. It’s layered with BBQ sauce, grilled onions, cheese sauce, pickles, and crispy slaw. It will be served on a potato roll with french fries.

These items will be available through August 25th. 

Café Orleans

At Café Orleans you’ll find Sarah ‘Sally’ Slater’s Swamp Fries. It’s crawfish étouffée on top of sweet potato fries. All of this will be topped with chorizo, clams, tomatoes, sweet corn, and green onion

The location will also serve up the Swinging Wake Cake. This is a layered chocolate and vanilla sponge cake with a caramel-banana filling. It’s topped with a caramel buttercream frosting and a sugar candle.

Blue Bayou Restaurant

Once your Doom Buggy drops you off at Blue Bayou Restaurant, be sure to be on the lookout for the Dynamite Seafood Hush Puppies. These are spicy hush puppies served with shrimp, tasso ham, corn, Bloody Mary aïoli, and greens.

And there’s no turning back now because you can also get the We’ve BEAN Dying to Meat You! This is a spiced stew of pork sausage, oxtails, and kidney beans served with Louisiana popcorn rice.

You can also get the Opera Singer Cake, which is an almond sponge cake with coffee, chocolate ganache, chocolate glaze, coffee buttercream, Chantilly cream, and raspberry sauce.

French Market

You’ll be saying “as long as we both shall live” after seeing The Wedding Cake. This cake has buttercream frosting, cherries, and a cream cheese filling. It’s topped with a splatter of cherry sauce.

Harbour Galley

Harbour Galley will serve up the 13th-Hour Brew which is an iced coffee with vanilla cream. You can also get the Ghost Mariner’s Seafood Boil. This is Cajun buttered shrimp with red potatoes, corn, and andouille sausage.

Royal Street Veranda

At Royal Street Veranda you’ll find the Pickwick Ghost Punch with is a combo of fruit, citrus juices, and sherbet.

You can also snatch up Professor Phineas Plump’s “Cure-All” Fritters, which are pimento cheese fritters with a ghost pepper ranch dressing.

Mint Julep Bar

And over at Mint Julep Bar, which has recently been added to the Mobile Order system, you will find the Blackberry Midnight Julep which is made with blackberry, citrus, mint, and lychee “moon.” And the “Honey…I Do” Beignets which will be available through September 5th. These are sweet beignets topped with honey praline and powdered sugar.

River Belle Terrace

And don’t forget about River Belle Terrace. They will be serving Sliders Materialize! The first is a spicy pork belly slider which will be served on toasted brioche. It’s topped with cabbage slaw and a pomegranate vinaigrette. Then there’s the savory pork belly slider, which is also served on toasted brioche, with black pepper bacon mayo, butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and a crispy bacon “spike.”

And last but certainly not least, the “Hitchhiking” Ghost Blue Velvet Cake, which will be a blue velvet cake with blueberry purée, rice croquette brittle, and a vanilla-blueberry crisp.

There will also be a few food items available exclusively at “The Haunted Mansion: Celebrating 50 Years of Retirement Unliving” on August 7th and 8th.

At this event, you can get the cheddar cheese “Foolish Mortal” Popcorn. The Doom Buggy Sundae which is a cream-filled sponge cake covered in a funnel batter. It’s topped with chocolate “graveyard grounds,” white chocolate raspberry ice cream, strawberry sauce, and whipped cream. There will also be Madame Leota’s Awakening Biscuits and Grave-y which are buttermilk biscuits with prosciutto and blackberry jam all smothered in andouille sausage gravy!
