Review: This NEW Summer Slush in Epcot is Giving Us Flashbacks!
Have you ever visited the semi-hidden bakery known as Les Halles in the France Pavilion at Epcot? Well, if you haven’t you should really check it out on your next Disney vacay.
Here, you will find delicious pastries, sandwiches, and so much more. It’s a great spot to grab a quick and unique bite before continuing your travels around the world. But every once in a while, something BRAND NEW pops up quietly on the menu, and you know we’re all over it!!
Today, we noticed that a Summer Slush ($12.oo) had been added to the menu!
When taking a closer look at the ingredients, we were reminded of the La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush (you know — that one that everyone has to buy and Instagram??) that we typically see at the Flower and Garden Festival, and the La Passion Martini Slush — which made its initial debut at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival in 2014, and will thankfully be returning once again in 2019.
At first glance, the new Summer Slush looks JUST LIKE the La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush. But, when you start to break down the ingredients, you can see there are differences between the two. The La Vie en Rose Slush is made with Grey Goose Vodka Orange, St. Germain liquor, and white and red cranberry juices. In comparison, the Summer Slush is composed of vodka, St. Germain, and cranberry juice. See the subtle differences there?!
What’s even crazier — the two drinks look scary similar! Here’s the Summer Slush…
…and here’s the La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush!
Crazy, right?!
The Summer Slush also reminded us of the La Passion Martini Slush (shown below), though they look a bit different. But, we’re reminded of it because the La Passion Martini Slush has a very similar flavor combo since it’s made with vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron, and cranberry and passion fruit juices.
We loved the flavors and thought that this was a great alternative for those who love the La Vie in Rose Frozen Slush and the La Passion Martini Slush!
But if this doesn’t float your boat, DON’T FORGET that you can also grab the Grey Goose Citron Slush and the Grand Marnier Orange Slush from the little outdoor champagne kiosk across from Chefs de France.
We’re really hoping the Summer Slush will stick around so that we can enjoy a drink closer to our festival-only favorites whenever we want!
