Review: Coffee-Rubbed Rib-Eye Steak Puff in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

BaseLine Tap House, located in Hollywood Studios’ Grand Avenue section, is a nice place to stop for a quick bite or refreshing drink.

BaseLine Tap House

While we love creating our own beer flights, we enjoy the restaurant’s food offerings as well! We’ve previously had both sweet and salty items at Baseline, and this time we decided to go for something a little more savory (and juicy!).

We’re still waiting for the triumphant return of the Exotic Margarita… But, we’re not here to talk about their wine or beer today, friends! The Coffee-Rubbed Rib-Eye Steak Puff has been calling our name. This item first debuted back in early 2018, and it was listed on the menu when we recently visited Hollywood Studios.

The puff pastry itself is a reason to grab this small bite. The bread was similar to a buttery croissant that flakes apart as soon as your fork hits it. Our mouths are still watering, you guys. The steak inside was nice and tender, topped with some of BaseLine’s delicious cheese. You all know how much we love cheese. Every bite of the Coffee-Rubbed Rib-Eye Steak Puff was filled with ooey, gooey goodness!

The olive salad that came with the meal, on the other hand, was not our favorite. While this could be a great side dish for olive lovers, we personally weren’t very keen on the taste. We also would have liked a hint of more coffee in the steak puff, since it was almost non-existent. The juicy flavors absolutely made up for the lack of coffee, though!

The Olive Salad Side with the Steak Puff

Regardless of how delicious this dish was, the $11 price tag seemed a bit steep for a small puff pastry and olive salad. While we think that you should try this eventually (especially if you love steak and olives), there are other fantastic (and bigger!) meals that you can get around Hollywood Studios. Perhaps you might want to try the Pot Roast at ABC Commissary!
