Disney World’s Riviera Resort and Skyliner Station Construction Update
Disney’s newest Vacation Club Resort, the Riviera Resort is set to open December 16, 2019.
The opening date blows our mind because December is approaching. And FAST!!
So, we thought we’d stop by the see how the construction progress is coming along at the resort and at its Skyliner station. And friends, it’s really progressing! (:
Riviera Resort Construction
The structure itself seems to be externally very near completion and awnings are being added to a few of the windows.
It also looks like shutters are being added to a few of the windows to evoke that island feel.
There’s a lot of work taking place on the ground. Especially around the pool area.
Looking in a bit closer, it looks like the slide’s getting some finishing touches. The existing structure really reminds us of the Caribbean Beach Resort pool area or the Old Key West Lighthouse!
Windows and doors are being installed on the bottom level of the resort.
Riviera Skyliner Station Construction
The Skyliner Gondolas are set to begin running at the Walt Disney World Resort on September 29, 2019 (check out the details here!). So, we thought we’d take a peek at the Riviera Resort’s Skyliner Station.
If you look closely, you just might see a hidden Mickey in the metal design on the station. We also noticed that the station has the same roof as the resort!
Gondolas were up and running. And other than a bit of landscaping, the station looked pretty close to complete!
Reservations are now available for Disney’s Riviera Resort and for their table service restaurant Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera.
