What’s New in Magic Kingdom: Scrims, Pins, and Construction Chagrin!

We’re in the Most Magical Place on Earth to bring you What’s New from Magic Kingdom! This week we have some scrims, some pins, and some construction chagrin (as in “much to our chagrin, the Castle Pathway Construction is still a massive work in progress”!).

Castle Pathway as seen from the entrance to Liberty Square

Come stroll through the Park with us! (Just bring some sunscreen because we left ours on the Monorail.)

What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.!

We spotted Prince John and Friar Tuck meeting the publik on Main Street, U.S.A.!

If you duck into Town Square, you’ll find tips on how to keep celebrating Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration!

Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration is still in full swing!

They’ve even got the Top 10 Ways to Celebrate Mickey! We’re in, let’s do this! 😉

At Uptown Jewelers, find the Dooney & Bourke Princess Jasmine collection. The colors are so vibrant and pretty.

The Genie Loungefly Backpack is coming out of the magic lamp all over the Parks — including over in Disneyland Resort, too!

For Pandora charm collectors, Uptown Jewelers has a Tiki Room charm! We’re loving this!

Main Street Confectionery still has lots of Pride Month treats, plus a Jasmine Caramel Apple and a Genie Cake Pop!

Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor still offers two Surprise Celebration treats: the Main Street Split and the Minnie Sundae!

The Mickey and Minnie Pants/Skirt Sundae bowls are also still around!

Mickey and Minnie Pants Sundaes also still available!

Main Street Bakery was showing off this gorgeousness on our visit. That’s one way to pull us right in!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland

In Adventureland, more Aladdin merch is available at Agrabah Bazaar. (There’s the Genie backpack again!)

This location also carries this lovely, new Jasmine dress. The red, purple, and gold ensemble is inspired by the live-action film that opened last month.

And just so you know, Hei Hei has not returned to the coop at Aloha Isle. But we never count our chickens before they hatch, so we’ll keep checking to see if he returns!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland

Liver Lips was meeting his adoring fans in Frontierland during our visit.

Liver Lips out and about!

And we spotted some fun merch while we were here! This Park Hop ‘Til You Drop Phone Case uses recognizable Park fonts in its design! Die-hard fans: this one’s for you for so many reasons!

We also spotted the current June Pins!

June Pins

It’s game over if you love retro consoles with this pin!

And this Tarzan pin can be yours “now and forever more“… if you buy it.

And while some might not consider pin collecting or trading to be one of the “bear necessities“, this Vintage Vinyl pin might change some minds!

June Pins — Jungle Book

And there’s a Father’s Day Pin. Gawrsh!

We aren’t done with the song and film references. Please proceed with caution. 😉

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square

In the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, we spotted some delicious snack ornaments! Which leaves only one remaining question: How has Disney gotten into our actual brains? One more question: How many treats are too many for one tree? (See more here!)

Minnie wants you to know she loves you. Now please purchase her ornament.

This one is actually even better from an angle.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland

And now for the Fantasyland part of our Park walk. Castle Couture is under scrims as the Park expands the number of stations in its popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Princesses and Princes in need of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique still check in at Castle Couture and make purchases of clothing and accessories (if so desired) before proceeding to the Boutique’s old location for hair, make-up, and magic. 😉

There’s also a sign directing guests to the PhotoPass Studio.

If your little ones are in the market for some fancy new duds (and toys), Sir Mickey’s has loads of princess and some prince gear. Minnie Mouse is represented by dresses, shoes, ears, and more.

If you kid’s dream is to be “strange, no question” (aim high, kiddos!), we suggest the Belle section, where toys, dresses, and shoes abound.

Belle Dresses

Of course, “now that [we’re] here, there’s a mission at hand”: to buy as much Elena of Avalor merch as possible. Dresses, tiaras, and soft dolls are available.

Aladdin-themed merch is everywhere these days, and if your child is “free to make [their] own choice”, maybe they’ll love the Princess Jasmine section!

Jasmine Dresses

I promise we’re “almost there” (there being the end of these movie and song quotes), but first Tiana! Love the combination of greens and yellows.

If the abundance of dresses are making you feel as if you’re “living in a blur”, Rapunzel is ready with toys, dresses, accessories, and chameleons.

And for the kids who always “shoot for [their] own hands”, Merida dresses, dolls, and accessories! (Also, you go, kids!)

Merida Dresses

Sir Mickey’s also has the upscale Jasmine dresses for purchase, if your kiddos are moving into the live-action style. Also note, Sir Mickey’s currently does not have options for adults (unless they fit into kid sizes…).

Phew. We survived!

Okay, over at Big Top Treats, the Disney Parks Wishables now include some The Little Mermaid options! Flounder is available out of the package, and there are blind bags.

Big Top Treats also has this Diamond Castle Edition Ariel to celebrate the movie’s 30th anniversary. (That number must not be right… the movie JUST came out. Surely it wasn’t THIRTY years ago…)

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland

In Tomorrowland (but seen from Fantasyland’s Goofy’s Barnstormer), the Tron Coaster track continues to be set into place!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom Castle Pathway Construction

The Castle Pathway Construction is also in progress. Check out the map if you need to find an alternate route around this section of the Park!

Castle Pathway Construction

The moat is drained, and plenty of construction detritus litters the area.

Castle Pathway Construction

The new retaining wall for the wider path is progressing. Steel reinforcements are still visible in this section.

But the wall appears to be full height in this section closest to Fantasyland.

The view from Liberty Square’s entrance isn’t any better.

But Sleepy Hollow is open, so get your fruit and Nutella waffle to eat away the feelings of sadness about the moat. 😉

Castle Pathway Construction

That’s it! No more song lyrics and movie quotes! But we’ll be back soon with even MORE What’s New from the Parks!

What’s your favorite part of the What’s New posts? Let us know so we can keep bringing you all the good stuff!
