What’s NEW in Magic Kingdom – Construction Updates, Sweet Treats, and Merchandise Mayhem!

We have a LOT of ground to cover in this week’s What’s New in Magic Kingdom! We caught up with construction updates, found a delicious new sundae (and more cold treats), and noticed SO. MUCH. MERCH!

Main Street, U.S.A.

We were greeted with rainy weather during our visit, but the gloomy skies didn’t stop us from exploring and enjoying the Most Magical Place On Earth. Let’s get started!

What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.

Starting things off on Main Street, U.S.A we HAD to try the new Peanut Butter Dream Sundae from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. This thing is absolutely decadent and completely delicious.

Though it isn’t indicated on the sign, we have confirmed with a Cast Member that the Peanut Butter Dream IS snack credit eligible. One of these sundaes would offer excellent value for your snack credit!

Making our way to Casey’s Corner we saw a sign promoting June’s Hot Diggity Dog of the Month – the Jalapeño Popper!

This one has returned to Casey’s menu after an absence, so be sure to try it out (and the loaded fries, of course) if you’re there this month!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland

Over in Tomorrowland, The Lunching Pad has added the Snack Credit icon for those insanely huge Mickey Celebration Donuts! If you’ve got the Disney Dining Plan for your trip to Disney World, this sweet treat would offer great value for your snack credit. Be sure to grab it while it’s still there!

If you were a fan of the Interstellar Punch at Cool Ship, they’ve sadly taken it off the menu… for now. Cool Ship does tend to change up their menu frequently, so we’ll let you know if and when the beverage comes back!

Construction for the TRON Coaster is steadily moving forward. It’s so much fun getting to see the coaster’s track take shape! The attraction will open in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebrations in 2021 and we CANNOT contain our excitement.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland

Fantasyland’s Cinderella Castle walkway project progresses, with a LOT of construction equipment surrounding the area.

Like, A LOT.

Also in Fantasyland, we saw returning fudge flavors at Big Top Treats! The Pecan Chocolate Fudge and Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge haven’t been available in quite a while, and we’re so glad they returned!

Lately, the consistently available flavors have been chocolate, peanut butter, and cookies & cream.

If you’re looking for a fudge fix but you’re on the other side of the park, you can also find the returning flavors at Prairie Outpost & Supply in Frontierland.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square

In Liberty Square, Columbia Harbour House has added a new item to the menu! They’ve introduced a Grilled Shrimp Skewer, which comes with rice and veggies for $13.99.

We haven’t had a chance to try it for ourselves yet, but we tend to enjoy our meals at the charming quick-service restaurant.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland

In Adventureland, we tried the brand-new FOMOsa from Sunshine Tree Terrace! Orange and vanilla soft serve with apple cider is certainly an interesting combination!

FOMOsa!

You can purchase the FOMOsa at Sunshine Tree Terrace for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit.

Sunshine Tree Terrace is also one of five locations in Magic Kingdom serving Mickey and Pals Waffle Wafer Toppers on cold treats! Sunshine Tree Terrace features a Donald Duck Waffle Wafer Topper on your choice of soft serve.

What’s New in Magic Kingdom Shops and Stores – New Merchandise!

It’s time to buckle up now because we have a LOT of merchandise to cover!

First on our list are new Alice in Wonderland mugs, which are available at The Emporium AND Main Street Confectionery!

Alice in Wonderland Mugs

One version is modeled after the Mad Hatter’s iconic topper, while the other looks like a topsy-turvey stack of teacups. I’m pretty sure they’re some of the most adorable mugs I have EVER seen.

They still had some of the older Alice in Wonderland mugs available as well.

Also at the Confectionery and The Emporium, we saw some super cute kid’s sipper cups starring some of our favorite Disney characters! Marie, Ariel & Flounder, Mickey, and Minnie are featured on these sippers.

At Mickey’s Star Traders, we found Kids Toy Story Shirts, including this “Toy-Tally Rawrsome” T-Rex shirt. Celebrate Toy Story 4 by grabbing one of these awesome shirts!

Also at Mickey’s Star Traders (and The Emporium), we saw a fabulous Rainbow Unicorn Plush, inspired by the fan-favorite character from Inside Out!

Is it weird that I, an adult, want one of these plushes for myself? I think not!

Heading over to Agrabah Bazaar in Adventureland, we found Genie Character Dolls, modeled after Will Smith’s Genie from the new live-action Aladdin film.

Our last stop was The Emporium, where we found SO MUCH MERCH. We spotted a beautiful Tinkerbell Alex and Ani bracelet. The bracelet has a colorful Tinkerbell charm in addition to a few silver charms.

We also noticed some Rose Gold and Pink Bow Bracelets near the registers. They seemed like kid bracelets to me, but they were pretty stretchy and we couldn’t find any signage to specify whether they’re meant for adults or kids.

Staying at The Emporium, we found some exciting headwear including an adorable Simba Headband!

We also found a duo of new hats featuring Bo Peep and The Beast!
