NEW Domingo Sundae — Served With a Little POP — Arrives at Ghirardelli on Both Coasts
Few things are better than a delicious sundae on a hot summer day. And one of our favorite places to stop and grab sundaes like the world famous hot fudge sundae is Ghirardelli, which happens to have locations in both Disney California Adventure park in Disneyland Resort and Disney Springs in Walt Disney World.
Much like the famous hot fudge sundae, the ice cream shop has released another take on the classic. This new option is known as The Domingo Sundae.
The Domingo made its debut earlier this month. And get this: it’s named after the founder of the shop, Domingo Ghirardelli, which we thought was a pretty cool touch and nod to Ghirardelli history!
So, what’s it made of, you ask? WELL…this is a traditional hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, peanuts, four banana slices, and of course, it’s served with a cherry on top for a hot-fudge-meets-banana-split twist.
This delicious sundae is also served with a bit of a POP because it comes with pop art sunglasses! The sunglasses feature an animated parrot and quote, “Say ‘Gear-ar-delly.” So, not only do you get a yummy treat… you get to eat it with style! (You can add to your collection if you already have the pair that came with the Haight Ashberry Sundae!)
We spotted the Domingo Sundae at the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Disney California Adventure for $15.95, but it is also available at the Disney Springs location. And for those of you that are Annual Passholders, remember you can use your discount! This treat is available now through June 30th, so hurry to get one if you’re interested because it won’t be around for long.
