Reservations opened on May 15th for Special Events at the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, and with dozens of demonstrations, seminars, pairings, and more to experience, it can be difficult to know which event (or events) to choose to book.

Here are five underrated Food & Wine Festival events you might want to try this year!
Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars
Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars are some of the Festival’s low-cost options at $19 each, but that low cost is a little misleading. These events are informative and fun, lead by industry experts, and allow guests to sample the highlighted food or drink!

Parisian Breakfast
If you’re looking for the best value for your Special Events dollar, look no further than the Parisian Breakfast, mais oui! For $45, guests enjoy French specialties at Les Chefs de France. Sip on your welcome mimosa, then munch on a selection of French pastries and baked goods (including baguettes baked fresh!). And what’s breakfast in France without cheese? French varieties are offered along with unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and orange juice.

If it sounds like a divine way to start your day, you’re absolutely correct. These are pastries and cheeses of incredibly high quality, and the whole affair has an authentic feel (right down to the chance to dip your baguette in hot chocolate!).
Mexican Tequila Lunch
The Mexican Tequila Lunch might sound like an excuse to drink a lot of liquor in the middle of the day, but actually the pairing of specialty tequilas with regional Mexican cuisine is a thoughtful, delicious experience! When we participated, foods included grilled scallops, New York strip steak, and pork tacos, so this is serious business. You’ll also taste three or more tequilas and receive education about how they differ and how to pair them.

Sunday Brunch with the Chef
Okay, now, here’s your chance to really get some face time with your favorite celebrity chefs! Sunday Brunch with the Chef debuted in 2018, and it’s back in 2019 with a list of fun, well-known chefs, a buffet of breakfast bites, and a two-hour session that includes a Q&A. Been dying to know what Richard Blais’ favorite molecular gastronomic technique is? Gotta know what Andrew Zimmern really thinks about durian fruit? Here’s your chance to ask!

Mediterranean Food and Beverage Pairing
This four-course tasting at Spice Road Table includes a sparkling wine reception, gourmet cuisine, and education about pairing Mediterranean foods with beverages. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this event. The food and wine were wonderful, and the setting is lovely as well. If you like the flavors of this region, this event is a great addition to your Food & Wine experience.
