Disneyland’s Main Street Cinema in Disneyland Has Been Transformed…Into A Shop!?
Since 1955, Main Street Cinema has been a small theatre on Main Street U.S.A. that played classic Disney shorts. This spot had a way of taking us back to the good ‘ole days and never failed to make us smile.
That is…until today.
In addition to the spot’s six screens starring Mickey Mouse, Main Street Cinema is now showcasing…merchandise.
Here’s a close-up of one of the displays…
Nothing major has been changed when it comes to the room itself, as the animated shorts still play in the background. But this just won’t be the same little movie theatre stop as it used to be if these items remain.
Currently, an easel in front of the Cinema invites you to “Come on in” for “Cartoons and Collectibles.”
And while merchandise is plenty of fun, I’m thinking that, in this case, we’d like to see more of those cartoons, and less of the collectibles. How about you?
What do you think of this change? Do you think it’s here to stay? Let us know in the comments below!
