Step Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge With Newly Released Photos from D23
We were able to literally set foot into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge last week to catch a glimpse of the incredible land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While photos were not permitted, you can read about what we saw here!
But today, YOU can take your own first look, because D23 has released photos which will allow everyone to peek inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. And it looks seriously INCREDIBLE.
So, let’s explore this insanely detailed land together!
Does the phrase below not ring a bell?
Not to worry… because you’ll be able to translate it by using the Play Disney Parks app once it transforms into your Star Wars datapad in Galaxy’s Edge. There are codes and messages for the app sprinkled throughout Black Spire Outpost.
We will be able to learn more about planet Batuu and its rich history through the incredible architecture and details throughout the land.
This is FOR REAL, you guys…
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Naturally, those famous Disney details will extend to all five dining options in Galaxy’s Edge, including the land’s fast-casual restaurant, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo where below you’ll see examples of details that tie in important Star Wars history and information.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will be packed with crates carrying the finest food ingredients from all over the galaxy to the kitchen of Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs. The 80 seen in these two photos (above and below) is a reference to the year that The Empire Strikes Back debuted in theatres. Pretty cool, right? Also, be on the lookout for 77 and 83, the years that the other two films from the original trilogy were released!
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities will be full-to-overflowing with antiques, jewels, statues, and more collected from across the galaxy.
Take in some taxidermy of various Star Wars creatures…
… before you take home a creature of your own from the Creature Stall.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Okay, okay… it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Let’s go INSIDE the Millennium Falcon.
No Dejarik table, it seems, will be left unturned…
… right down to a Rathar frozen in carbonite.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disneyland on May 31st and in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios on August 29th.
I’ve got my hair in Leia buns and I’m ready to go! Are you?
