Review and Food Photos: Paddle In for the Guacamole Flight at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!

If you’re keepin’ it cool at Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon this summer, be advised: there’s a Guacamole Flight you’re going to want to try!

Typhoon Tilly’s Snack Shack

Typhoon Tilly’s Snack Shack — the little counter off the main Typhoon Tilly’s quick service area — offers up a trio of guacamole with a little something for everyone! It’s perfectly sized for sharing or for a lunch for one — and it’s priced right at $7.99!

Prefer a larger bowl of one flavor combo? You can get that, too!

We tried the trio so we could dig into all three flavors. You know, for research purposes.

Vegetable, Pineapple Bacon, and Spiced Shrimp toppings are added to standard guacamole to create the three varieties, and the flight (or the one larger bowl, if you go that route!) is served with a boat of tri-colored tortilla chips.

The Vegetable Guacamole was our favorite of the three! It’s packed with roma tomatoes, corn salsa, scallions, cheese, and plantain chips. It was super fresh, and the plantain chips were a fun addition!

The Spiced Shrimp Guacamole did have a little hint of heat (mostly from black pepper, as far as we could discern). Pieces of poached shrimp, tomato salsa, and scallions are added to the standard guac here, and for shrimp lovers, this is a nice, hearty combination!

The Pineapple Bacon Guacamole was pretty satisfying, too! The contrast of salty bacon and sweet pineapple was really interesting with the guacamole, and this was the easiest of the three to mix up in the bowls.

Each small bowl of the guacamole flight is dished up in view of the guest, with a scoop of guacamole being topped by the add-ins separately. Mixing them up is a bit of a challenge, but it’s a small price to pay for a fun and inventive snack! The tortilla chips were also nice and crispy, offering that quintessential chips-and-guac experience even with the unique topping combos.

No word if this guy likes them, but we’re guessing yes. 😉

Stitch!

So, surfer dudes and dudettes, glide on into Typhoon Tilly’s Snack Shack for this cool guacamole flight!
