“It’s a bird! It’s a plane!” Actually… it’s a bird. AND a cupcake. It’s the Bird Cupcake, and you can currently find it in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Oodles of bright and vivid buttercream make up the cheerful bird.

You’ll also spot a few chocolate feathers underneath those formed of frosting.

The cake base is supposed to be lemon, according to signage, but if any lemon was present at all it was hard to pick up on, with the cake pretty much tasting like your basic vanilla.

The blueberry cheesecake filling was likewise light in flavor, but it did carry a hint of an enjoyable tang.

So, don’t expect a big flavor punch here. But you can look forward to a cute and tasty cupcake celebrating some of Animal Kingdom’s star residents, in any case!
