MagicBand Upgrades for Disney World Resort Guests and Annual Passholders Now Live on My Disney Experience
If you’ve got an upcoming stay booked at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or you are a Disney World Annual Passholder, the previously announced option to upgrade your MagicBand is now live on My Disney Experience!

Disney Resort hotel guests and new and renewing Annual Passholders are now presented with the option to upgrade from the typical complimentary solid-color MagicBand to one of more than 30 new MagicBand options. The pre-arrival purchase price is $14.99 off the retail price you would find in the parks, with prices varying by design.

And, may I just point out… THERE’S A FLYNN RIDER MAGICBAND AMONG THE OPTIONS!!!! Oh, AND Disney iconic snacks, too!
Ok, back to the story 
… as a reminder, guests may still choose a complimentary solid color MagicBand at no additional cost. Guests who DO choose to upgrade will want to know that the new designs can still be shipped to guests’ homes in the U.S. if ordered 11 or more days ahead of arrival.
Note that — as of press time — some guests are experiencing errors with the new launch, but presumably the upgrade experience will be fully functioning soon.
For those unfamiliar with MagicBands, Disney provides the following: “The MagicBand, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, effortlessly links the Walt Disney World Resort vacation choices and plans guests make in the My Disney Experience app – from entering the parks to redeeming FastPass+ selections, using dining plan credits, linking Disney PhotoPass photos and more.”
