What’s New in Hollywood Studios: Galaxy’s Edge and Skyliner Construction, Avengers Merchandise, Vintage Shirts, and More!
Hollywood Studios is exciting these days — between prep for the 30th Anniversary celebration (See the events and food here!), Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction updates, Skyliner station progress, and new merchandise (Avengers, Rebecca Hook Jewelry, and New Vintage Shirts), we hardly know where to start!
What better place than at the entrance? Or maybe even before… because when you visit Hollywood Studios, currently you’ll see lots of construction and projects before you even enter the park.
What’s New at Hollywood Studios’ Entrance
The Skyliner Station for Hollywood Studios is coming along — and you can see they were testing gondolas on the line when we were there.
At the entrance area of the park there is some work happening around the flag poles. Don’t worry, you can still get your photos with the broomsticks and Topiary Sorcerer Mickey!
No announcements have been made about any of the work at the entrance, but we will be sure to let you know and keep you posted when we learn anything!
The area to your left as you walk in from the parking lot is still under construction as well.
Again, no announcements have been made about this construction, we will be sure to keep you posted.
What’s New on Hollywood Studios’ Hollywood Boulevard
Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) has added a Ham and Cheese Croissant to their menu; however, the cast member we spoke with said these are only available until they sell out each day. We also noticed that the Gluten Free Canadian Bacon Sandwich is no longer available here.
Keystone Clothiers is still closed, and some construction walls have been added to block off parts of the building.
The square in the front of the Chinese Theater with the autographs, hand prints, and footprints of stars is still roped off.
It’s also just been announced that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway which will be housed here is now slated for a Spring 2020 opening (as opposed to the originally announced opening for this fall).
What’s New in Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Construction
One of the most popular places in the park is the Toy Story Land wall that gives a peek into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (opening on August 29!).
With the recent addition of more trees it is becoming harder to see what is going on over in Batuu.
What’s New in Hollywood Studios
The Guest Experience Team that first appeared in Magic Kingdom is now in Hollywood Studios.
The Guest Experience Team can help you determine wait times, set up your My Disney Experience Account or App, assist with any MagicBand issues, make advanced dining reservations, give directions, and more.
We found this team near the statue of the cameraman on Hollywood Boulevard, near the Tower of Terror, and near Pixar Place’s Joffrey’s Coffee and the Market.
The AT-AT popcorn buckets are no longer on the menus at the popcorn stands around the park right now — but the Green Alien popcorn bucket and BB-8 sipper are still available.
What’s New in Hollywood Studios’ Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
Avengers: Endgame opens next Friday, April 26! Be sure to pick up this hat or shirt to wear to the movie!
The shelves are full of Avengers merchandise — there are play sets, shirts, action figures, Funko Pops, and more!
Be honest — are these toys for you or your kiddo?
If you or your kiddo is a Captain Marvel fan, you’ll find some Captain Marvel play sets, a kids’ jacket, and more in Disney shops and stores.
How fun is this Luxo Ball shirt for all of the Toy Story fans out there?
We also spotted more of the vintage-style shirts we found in Magic Kingdom last week.
We are loving the look of these and can’t wait to wear them on our visits to the parks.
Which ones will you be adding to your wardrobe?
Rebecca Hook’s jewelry line has finally made it into the parks! It has been available online before, but it is making its park debut this week! Learn more and take a look at the full Rebecca Hook Jewelry line here — there are even some Passholder pieces!
As we prepare to say goodbye to Hollywood Studios this week, we leave you with a reminder as the weather warms up in Florida. Remember to stay hydrated on warm, sunny, and humid summer days. Disney is here to help with free water at counter service locations. Many locations are starting to put their help-yourself water stations out. But if they don’t have one, just ask at the counter and you’ll receive a free water.
