Sneak Peek From Behind-the-Scenes Look at “Wonderful World of Animation” Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A new projection show will make its debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 1, 2019 — the park’s 30th Anniversary! And today, Disney is giving us some hints of what’s to come in the cinematic nighttime experience that will be the Wonderful World of Animation!

Disney shares that “Wonderful World of Animation begins with the one-and-only Mickey Mouse, as the park’s iconic Chinese Theater transforms into the black-and-white world of the classic short film, Mickey’s Gala Premiere.”

The show will then burst into color featuring film moments beginning with Mickey in Fantasia and moving forward with scenes from Disney and Pixar animated films like Coco, The Incredibles, Sleeping Beauty, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and more.

As the Disney Parks Live Entertainment team puts finishing touches on the production, Disney shares this video of the behind-the-scenes efforts, including some brief sneak peeks of the upcoming projection show!

We can’t wait to see Wonderful World of Animation for the first time this week, and are looking forward to bringing you along as we celebrate 30 years of MAGIC at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
