See What Awaits at the New Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Disneyland Resort’s Grand Californian Hotel
Are you ready for an adventure? Then join us for Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland Resort!
From Thursdays through Mondays, guests at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures enjoy a three-course breakfast along with interactions and photo ops with Disney Princesses, themed activities, and special take-home keepsakes for children.
We were invited to a Media Preview for this new experience, so we’d love to take you along!
A Scene Set for Royalty
Napa Rose is the home of Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, which is designed to be a two-hour experience.
Your adventure begins in the Napa Rose Lounge where Rapunzel is there to greet you! (Note that character appearances, as always, are subject to change.)
The scene is further set with fun Rapunzel-themed Tic-Tac-Toe boards as you get ready to enter the restaurant.
There are more takeaway items to see (we’ll share them later), but amenity bags are given to the children before the meal because they contain an autograph book and pen to put to use right away!
And adults will want to know that one glass of champagne is included .
You’ll have a chance to sign the Adventure Book, too.
Before you know it, it’s time to be escorted by your Adventure Guide to your table.
And while the setting is lovely, it is greatly enhanced by tableside visits throughout the meal from Disney Princesses!
The Royal Highnesses present in the restaurant included Ariel, Belle, Tiana, Jasmine, and Aurora. (By the way, I say “in the restaurant,” because there is still someone else to come, if you keep reading…)
Again, visits take place throughout the meal. We’ll share more about our time with the Princesses later in this post (because there is certainly more to come). But for now, it’s time to talk about…
Breakfast
The three-course breakfast includes Cold Starters, a buffet of hot Entrees, and Desserts. But before the courses begin, everything starts with a basket of breads.
They’re served with a jar of delicious lemon curd, and what a way to start! Monkey bread, a scone, and a cinnamon roll are sweet ways to begin.
They were all terrific, but here’s a tip: for sure go for that Monkey Bread when the basket arrives . Although it is pull-apart, so I guess you could share (or simply ask for more.. although you’ll want to save some serious room for what’s to come).
Juices, milk, tea, coffee, and soda are all included with the meal. And a list of Royal Morning Libations is also available, for extra purchase.
These include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings, with alcoholic beverages ranging from $18-21, and non-alcoholic drinks from $7-8.
First Course
All of the Cold Starters to begin the meal are delivered to the table to share, so you don’t have to choose.
This glorious tower begins, from the top, with Banana Wraps in a crepe with Nutella served atop berry compote.
The open-faced Tangled Ham and Cheese Sandwich is completed with cranberry cream cheese and garnished with berries.
Mini Lobster Rolls are served on a thick brioche. (Your little Prince or Princess — or you! — may also receive Mini Hot Dogs upon request.)
The Magic Carpet Parfait is a chia pudding with mango, kiwi, and coconut, all topped with edible flowers.
And last, but certainly not least, are the Caramel Beignets.
And, yes, that’s just for starters…
Second Course
After you finish your starters, the second course is a buffet of hot entrée selections.
These include a mix of traditional breakfast items served alongside brunch-style offerings and fun goodies like House Made Mac & Cheese, and Mini Chicken & Mickey Waffles served with maple syrup butter!
And heads up on the Fried Chicken: they’re using the same spices here that the Plaza Inn uses for what is simply the best fried chicken in Disneyland. So… yum.
There’s plenty of “Perfect Scrambled Eggs” and bacon to be had. The name is in quotes as the proper name of the dish, but the eggs really are quite good!
And the thicker cut bacon is awesome.
Artisan Turkey Sausages are served with bits of pineapple for a nice sweet-meets-savory mix.
Roasted Tomato and Asparagus and Braised Short Rib are also among the offerings.
Pulled Barbecue Beef Sliders with BBQ sauce and pineapple salsa are served on Hawaiian buns.
Wonderfully fresh fruits and berries accompany the whole thing.
And how about some Fresh Artisan Butter to make everything extra fancy? Only the best for royalty!
There is one more item to mention. Though part of the second course, the Papas Bravas are brought to your table.
The seasoned French Fries are served with an absolutely delicious Romesco sauce (almond and bell pepper) and ketchup.
As you can tell, there’s LOTS to enjoy.
And it doesn’t disappoint. Simply put, the spread is impressive. But that’s not all…
Third Course
Like the first course, the third course of desserts is delivered to the table.
But! One thing needs to happen before you can dig in to these pretty treats…
The Fairy Godmother requested that our server give the desserts a little spell, by way of a sprinkling of edible gold glitter!
Pocahontas Peanut Butter Crunch tops off the dessert tray.
Royal Princess Cake Pops are all dressed up just like the Princesses!
Belle’s Raspberry Bouquets are petite raspberry tarts.
Ariel Sea Shell macarons are filled with mango and passion fruit.
Mulan’s Firecracker Sorbet is a brightly flavored strawberry honey sorbet with cotton candy and fresh strawberries.
And after you dine?
More Princess Fun
Once your meal is complete, it’s time for some outdoor Princess fun! Activities include story time with everyone’s favorite bookworm, Belle.
And I told you there was another Princess on the way, didn’t I?
It’s time to learn a few warrior poses from Mulan!
During the entire experience, the interaction with the Princesses was remarkable. During both the meal and the outdoor portion, the Princesses really took their time and truly focused on the children, creating memorable moments throughout.
Portrait Moment
After the outdoor portion, it’s time for a final moment with a Princess.
Ours was more time with Rapunzel, and guests receive a photo pass card for digital downloads of the pictures taken in this last moment.
Keepsakes
You have already seen the autograph book that the children receive.
And each child also chooses between the crown necklace or the shield and sword set pictured below.
The cinch sack you see above is also included, along with a box of Princess Truffles.
All in all, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is an event that is very well done. Great (and nicely themed) food, impeccable service, and quality time with the Disney Princesses (plus souvenirs for the kids, to boot) add up to a beautiful event and a truly memorable morning.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures takes place Thursday through Monday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. The price is $125 per guest for both adults and children (tax and gratuity not included). Interested guests may book online or by calling (714) 781-DINE.
