Review (AND Preview): NEW Shrimp & Lobster Mac and Cheese in Disney Springs!
Hello again from Disney Springs!! Earlier this week we sampled the Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese which we believe to be one of the items coming to the recently announced Mac and Cheese Truck which will soon join the other Disney Food Trucks.

And speaking other the other Food Trucks… they include the Fantasy Fare Food Truck which is where we’ve just tried ANOTHER new twist on mac and cheese. Introducing the Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese!!
Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese
This mac has a creamy cheddar and swiss sauce, and is topped with lobster, shrimp, and crackers. And a chef confirmed this is the same recipe that will be at the new truck.

This dish is super creamy and rich. The cheese sauce packs a lot of flavor — you can really taste the tang from the Swiss. The crackers are a fun touch and when crumbled, add a nice buttery crunch to your bite. There are also several huge, perfectly cooked shrimp.

The one downside is that the lobster is barely noticeable. I’m not sure if it was my serving or if that’s normal, but the chef said it was mixed in pretty finely. He did, however, give me a few perfectly cooked chunks to add in!

Overall, this was a tasty and decadent dish that does not taste like it came from a truck! It’s rich and creamy, and would make for an indulgent meal, or great snack if shared.
So far, we’ve gone TWO for TWO with the new mac and cheese varieties! And we cannot WAIT for the Mac & Cheese Truck to make its appearance this month so we can try the rest of them!
