Rafiki’s Planet Watch to Reopen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom This Summer

Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed since October for a refurbishment. Disney has announced that this space will reopen this summer, including a few new enhancements.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch will still include the Affection Section and guests will be able to get to and from the space by traveling on the Wildlife Express.

The animal encounters that Rafiki’s Planet Watch is known for will remain along with “new experiences that draw from Disney’s rich heritage of wildlife animation, featuring a celebration of The Lion King.” The focus, of course, will stay on animal care and conservation along with Disney’s continued conservation efforts.

No reopening date has been announced, but we’ll look forward to keeping you posted!
