What’s New in the Magic Kingdom: Merchandise, Construction, Snacks, and more!
Hello from the Magic Kingdom! We spotted the return of a must-have popcorn bucket, construction updates, new merchandise, frames for the Princess Half Marathon medals, and more!
Let’s get started with the park’s popcorn stands where a must-have popcorn bucket is back in stock!
The Red Mickey Balloon Popcorn Buckets were back in stock at several popcorn stands around the park when we visited this week! We didn’t see the newer version of the Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket at any of the popcorn stands on the day we were there.
What’s New on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A.
As part of Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration you’ll find rarely-seen-in-the-parks characters in the Town Square area. We got to see Nick and Judy from Zootopia on the day we were in the park — see who else we’ve seen here!
The sweetest spot on Main Street, The Confectionery, has both the Mickey Ice Cream Bar krispie treat AND the Minnie Donut krispie treat in their bakery case!
Which krispie treat modeled after classic Disney snacks will you choose?
At the Plaza Restaurant tomato soup has been added to their menu as an appetizer, taking the place of the seasonal soup option. (FYI, the “seasonal soup” was usually tomato as well…Disney sometimes uses “seasonal soup” on menus at counter service restaurants and lower-priced table-service restaurants to give themselves the opportunity to serve something else if their regular option runs out.)
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland
The Magic Kingdom will be welcoming a new Tron attraction to the park in 2021. The construction for the attraction has caused the temporary closure of Tomorrowland Speedway as the work nears the Speedway’s track.
You will see signs of the construction, and this giant red crane, in Fanstasyland near The Barnstormer ride.
That tall red crane on the Tron construction site even popped up in our pictures taken in the hub of the park by Cinderella Castle.
What’s New in Magic Kingdom’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!
If you are running in the Disney Princess Half Marathon races this weekend and are looking for a way to display your finisher medals, Disney is ready to help! The Main Street Cinema Art Shop had two different framing options on display. Good luck to all of the runners this weekend! Be sure to check out all of the Disney Springs locations offering runners a discount this weekend!
If you’re a grad, or know a grad, take a close look at the graduation cap on this Class of 2019 Alex & Ani bracelet — it has Mickey ears!
The new “it’s a small world” double-sided Alex & Ani bracelet that we first saw in Epcot has now popped up in the Magic Kingdom.
The “it’s a small world” merchandise collection keeps growing! What a friendly shirt!
“It’s a Pirates Life” for us with this new Pirates of the Caribbean shirt.
If your first ride of the day is Peter Pan’s Flight we’ve found the perfect shirt for you.
Little Mermaid fans are sure to love this “Dinglehopper Hair Salon” shirt.
Are you a Park Hopper? This hoodie is perfect for chilly days spent park hopping.
This is pretty much why we come to the parks (well, in addition to the food)!
Is this your state of mind everyday?
