What’s New in Hollywood Studios: Skyliner, Bus Station, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Construction plus New Merchandise!
Our recent visit to Hollywood Studios included lots of construction walls — we’ll update you on the Skyliner Station, New Bus Stations, Park Entrance Area Construction, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Construction — but that isn’t all! We’ve also got updates from the Shops and Stores in the park.
First thing we noticed? It looks like the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has had an update. The Hanes logo used to be on the guitar pick on the ride’s iconic guitar, but now there is some artwork on the guitar pick instead.
What’s New at Hollywood Studios’ Skyliner, and Bus Stations and Entrance Construction
They were busy painting Hollywood Studios’ Skyliner Station as it moves along closer and closer to completion for a Fall 2019 opening.
We can see the style, shapes, and color scheme that are a part of the park’s entrance being repeated on the station.
They were not testing any gondolas today, but if you want to see the test-run of the Skyliner gondolas in action click here!
There will be new bus stations to go along with the new Skyliner station for the park.
Just like the Skyliner station, they matched the style, shapes, and color scheme of the park’s entrance on the bus station as well.
There’s a lot of construction and activity at the park entrance, especially in the area to the left of the current security and bag check area.
There have not been any announcements yet about what all of this construction will lead to. Be sure to follow us to stay up-to-date on the changes going on in the parks!
What’s New in Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Construction
Those newly planted trees are blocking some, but not all of our view of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction progress in Toy Story Land.
The new land is opening this Fall, no exact date has been announced yet, be sure to follow us to stay up-to-date on the progress of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and any news as soon as it is announced!

The construction walls that went up near the “Star Wars Bathrooms” across from the Star Tours attraction have been extended onto Commissary Lane and wrap around to where the Disney Vacation Sales Kiosk used be before the brand new one was opened outside Tatooine Traders.
