Whats New in Hollywood Studios: Popcorn Buckets, Menu Changes, Construction, Merchandise, and More!

Hollywood Studios is busy preparing for new arrivals (we’re talking Lightning McQueen and Star Wars), but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other changes in the park. Here’s all the new updates we spotted this week!

OK, maybe not an invasion, but we found this fun new light up alien key chain in the park!

And for all the popcorn bucket collectors out there who missed the Alien Popcorn Bucket last summer when Toy Story Land opened, it’s back! This time we spotted it in the new Pixar Place Bakery…Jack Jack’s Num Nums AND Alien Popcorn Buckets in one place! These green guys were also at all of the Hollywood Boulevard Popcorn Carts.

Woody’s Lunch Box has welcomed back the Raspberry Lunch Box Tarts!

When you visit Toy Story Land you’ll find some new Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary Banners celebrating the park’s upcoming big day.

Menu Changes on Sunset Boulevard

Rosie’s All-American Cafe and Fairfax Fare have been making some menu changes and swaps. At Rosie’s you’ll now find the Chili Cheese Foot Long Hot Dog here instead of at Fairfax Fare, and you’ll find the Backlot Express’ new Key Lime Pie Verrine here as well as at Backlot Express.

At Fairfax Fare the Pork Tamale replaced the relocated-to-Rosie’s Chili Cheese Footlong Hot Dog, and you can indulge in a Tres Leche Verrine here for a snack or dessert.

We also spotted the Hot Cocoa Flight on Fairfax Fare’s permanent menu. This was not on the menu before the Flurry of Fun Christmas celebrations, and during Flurry of Fun it was on a temporary event menu. When we asked about this being permanent the cast member we spoke with said they don’t have that any longer. We’ll keep an eye on this and keep you posted on if this really is a permanent addition or not.

What’s New at ABC Commissary

There are some new desserts on the menu at ABC Commissary. At lunchtime you can enjoy a S’more Cookie Dessert — two of our favorites, cookies and s’mores, in one dessert! At dinner you’ll find a new Apple Almond Tart dessert.

Hollywood Studios Construction Updates

If you are or have a grad in the family the Class of 2019 Mickey Mouse Ears are out!

If you’re a fan of Mary Poppins and tea we found a new set that is practically perfect! This collection is from Lenox and can be found in the Stage One Shop. There’s a penguin on top of the teapot and sugar jar — how cute!!

We also spotted that new line of sweatpants featuring Disney Villains, Parks and Attractions, Snacks,and Mickey and Minnie that we found in the Magic Kingdom in Hollywood Studios as well.

We found a new line of bags with all sorts of references to the parks and rides — we see “it’s a small world”, spinning teacup, Space Mountain, Minnie’s shoes, and so much more on these!
