What’s New in Epcot this Week: Merchandise, Food, Construction Updates, and more!

Epcot is busy with the International Festival of the Arts starting this Friday — we’ll be reporting live from opening day — but we still found new must-have food-themed merchandise being added to the shops as well as new drinks, sweet eats, teas, and construction progress — we’ve got it all covered!

Hello from Epcot

Let’s jump in with that brand new space-themed restaurant near Mission: Space opening in 2020!

Epcot Construction Update New Space-Themed Restaurant Progress

We learned a little bit more about this location in November, including that it will have the feeling of being a part of the International Space Station, and staffed by cast members from around the world.

The new restaurant, located between Mission: Space and Test Track, is scheduled to open in 2021, but we’ve heard hiring is starting now!

What’s New in Epcot’s World Showcase

At each of the Joffrey’s stands and kiosks in the parks we spotted the menus are up for Valentine’s Day themed drinks. You can enjoy a “Lovestruck Latte” made with dark chocolate, caramel, and coconut! There’s a “Sinful & Sweet White Mocha Latte” made with white chocolate and blackberry. You can indulge in spirited versions of these with Baileys, Vodka, Kahlua, or Jameson.

In Norway’s Kringla Bakeri og Kafe we confirmed the return of those oh-so-sweet Troll Horns! Welcome Back!

While we were there we also picked up this very healthy looking Sven’s Apple Cheesecake. If your dessert looks just like a piece of fruit it counts as fruit, not a dessert, right? 😂

Just like Joffrey’s, the folks in Germany at the Glaskunst are also in the Valentine’s Day spirit with their heart-adorned, love-filled products featuring Disney sweethearts front and center.

The Belle Meet and Greet location in France has moved to a new location. You’ll now find Belle near the construction scrims and close to where you can also meet Aurora along the “riverfront” looking over towards International Gateway.

There are some new tables and chairs in Belle’s former Meet and Greet location, closer to the Crepe kiosk, which will come in handy as we enjoy our crepes, or goodies from the Festival of the Arts Food Studios!
