Spotted: Construction Equipment on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon
Back in September, we reported that IllumiNations, the beloved laser, water, and pyrotechnics show nightly seen on Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon, will be replaced in the second half of 2019.

And now there’s construction happening over at World Showcase Lagoon!

We spotted this construction equipment in World Showcase Lagoon today. It appears to be a construction barge, some piping, and a crane.
We have NO idea if this is for the new Fireworks Show coming to Epcot next year, or if it’s just run-of-the-mill maintenance. Cast members that we asked weren’t sure.

The forthcoming show is described as bringing “new thrills” to the crowds who gather to watch Epcot’s nighttime spectacular, but we can only watch as it unfolds, as details about the show have not yet been released.
