I am always impressed by the simple ingredients these wreaths entail and yet, they look stunning and delicious all in one photo. These wreaths mean more than just cornflakes and bits of candy. They show the Christmas spirit and the infinite love that is carried on throughout the month of December. These bring back memories as well as make memories with loved ones all around. These are such a Christmas classic that you will make with your family again and again!
How Do You Make Christmas Cornflake Wreaths?
- Measure cornflakes into a large bowl
- Melt Butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until it’s melted. Stir in food coloring. Add the marshmallows to the cornflakes and mix.
- Lay out a piece of parchment paper. Drop large spoonfuls of cornflakes onto the paper. Butter or lightly grease your hands and use your fingers to shape each into a wreath. Top with cinnamon candies.
Red Cinnamon Candies Substitutions and Ideas
If you do not love cinnamon flavor you can substitute it for Red Mini M and M’s, Red Sixletts or using Red String Licorice to make a bow on the wreaths. You can also add the Red Candies around the wreath in a pattern rather than just three bundle up together. The options are endless and are expected to be as creative as you feel inspired when making your own wreath.
