Review! Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

If you’re going to be a guest at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom this season, then there is a new option you can add on to make your time at the Party the “Most Merriest” one of all: Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party!

Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party

Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party works differently from other dessert party offerings. Starting at 9:30 PM, guests can pop in and out of Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at their leisure to eat an array of savory hors d’oeuvres, sweet desserts, and a selection of included alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Then, at 11:00 PM, guests have access to a reserved viewing area for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

And, with a welcome from Tony himself (who strolls, greets, and sings throughout the Most Merriest Party), let’s dig in!

TONY!

Now, I knew going in that the Most Merriest Party would include “savory hors d’oeuvres,” but since most Disney add-on parties lean towards an over abundance of sweet stuff, I anticipated rather limited offerings. But that’s wasn’t the case… like, at all.

Hot Hors d’oeuvres

Let’s take in the spread — presented in three stations — starting with the Hot Hors d’oeuvres which include Tony’s Famous Meatballs with Marinara.

Beef Braised Calzones, Pizza, and Rhode Island Style Calamari are all part of the offerings.

Adding even more variety are Smoked Chicken and Leek in Puff Pastry and Boursin Cheese Stuffed Artichokes.

An assortment of sauces such as Basil Pesto and Herb Aioli are available for topping.

The Antipasto Station is quite extensive with items like imported and domestic cheeses, olives, cured meats, and more.

Much more, actually, including more cheese like Brie and Bleu, olives, tomatoes, and breads to accompany it all.

Before we visit the final food station (here’s a hint: IT’S DESSERT 😉 ), let’s talk beverages. And there’s plenty to talk about. Non-alcoholic options include hot chocolate and coffee.

Coffee

Bottled water and a variety of sodas are available to choose from along with juice boxes for the kiddos.

And for adults?

Angry Orchard Hard Cider

In addition to the Angry Orchard Hard Cider seen above, Italian Vinos include sparkling, white, and red varieties.

Wines

Beers feature a Euro Pale Lager and a Moretti Dopplebock.

A specialty cocktail is also an option. This spiked hot cider is topped with whipped cream and garnished with a green apple slice.

Warm, tasty, and festive… it’s a hit from Tony, I can tell you that!

As mentioned above, the Party is all-you-care-to-drink — and that includes the alcoholic options. When you consider that a glass of wine or cocktail in Disney World will run you $9 – $12 a pop (on the low end), this inclusion can provide a decent part of the value to many guests.

Ok, I said something about Desserts, didn’t I?

The selection includes Italian classics like Tiramisu and mini Cannoli.

Festive offerings are Chocolate Cupcakes with buttercream icing, Pumpkin Tartlets, and Yule Logs.

And while it’s a fun variety of sweets, you’ll notice the emphasis is definitely on the savory, heartier options.

Guests have three entire hours to enjoy the spread, while also having the option to exit and enter Tony’s as they wish to take advantage of the attractions, activities, and entertainment that are exclusive Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

But you’ll definitely want to be back at the Town Square when Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade kicks off. Most Merriest guests are given wristbands upon checking in at Tony’s which grant entry to an exclusive viewing area.

(Note that Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party does not include reserved viewing for the fireworks. Those spaces are reserved for the guests who add-on the Holiday Wishes Fireworks Dessert Parties.)

By the way, the Most Merriest party continues on until 12:30 AM, which is beyond the Party’s midnight closing time.

Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party is by no means a requirement to have an enjoyable time at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. But it is a truly enjoyable enhancement to the event, I think. It’s a splurge, for sure, when you keep in mind that the Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party is an additional $99 per guest on top of your Party ticket. (Full information for booking can be found below.)

And the value especially has to be weighed for bringing children, who a) don’t have child-specific pricing at the full $99, b) most likely will not eat $99 worth of food and certainly can’t drink the alcohol, and c) may be antsy to experience more in regards to the attractions, characters, and entertainment outside. As may some adults, frankly. Spending a bunch of time at Tony’s when the party itself only goes on for 5 hours to begin with will be a hard sell to many.

But the food and drink inclusions are good, the parade viewing is awesome, and the ability to come and go means you won’t feel like you’re missing out because you can enjoy every element of the Party outside that you wish.

Admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is required (and not included) to attend Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party, and tickets are $99 per guest for Tony’s, plus tax. Interested guests may book online via the Disney World website or by calling 407-827-7348.
