Celebrating Mickey’s 90th: Steamboat Willie Heritage Mickey Mousse at Boardwalk Bakery
Steamboat Willie was released on November 18, 1928 introducing the world to Mickey Mouse 90 years ago! All the Parks and many resorts are celebrating Mickey’s Big 90th Birthday this weekend with special eats. We headed to Boardwalk Bakery to try their special Steamboat Willie Heritage Mickey dessert to honor Mickey’s debut!

This dessert is black and white — just like the short film Steamboat Willie — and so darned cute!
You’ve got a white chocolate custard tart as a base, and it is topped off with a perfectly rounded serving of dark chocolate mousse making the dome shape. Then it’s garnished with chocolate ears, a tail, and of course Mickey’s recognizable buttons!

We did eventually dive into this dessert, and YUM. This is a really good dessert made with classic flavors, that could have been ordinary, but it wasn’t ordinary at all. The White Chocolate Custard was the best part of the dessert for us.

It’s unrelentingly suite, obviously. But that’s the worst I can say about it. If you like chocolate mousse and custard tarts you’ll love this one.
