Dining Updates and Additions at Hotels of Disneyland Resort: Tangaroa Terrace, White Water Snacks, and More

Just a few weeks ago, we shared that Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel would be closing for refurbishment.

And now, Disney is revealing what’s to come as a result of the work! Look for the Terrace to reopen in early 2019 as the Tangaroa Terrace Bar & Grill!

A new outdoor bar and an updated patio will provide spots for guests to enjoy island cocktails and Asian-inspired cuisine. Inside there will be new details including light fixtures made of colorful fishing floats and netting, a tropical mural, and bamboo accents. But, don’t worry, the Tiki-inspired design will still be present in the renovated space.

And a new bar and patio aren’t all the changes! Guests will be able to enjoy Dole Whip throughout the day and coffee drinks in the morning from a dedicated service window. This will be great in the morning for the energy to tackle the parks, and of course to enjoy a Dole Whip while we’re at the pool!

The Tangaroa Terrace Bar & Grill will offer options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, it will offer an an open-air marketplace for quick bites. During the refurbishment of Tangaroa Terrace you can find menu options at The Coffee House, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Steakhouse 55.

Also, White Water Snacks in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel will see some changes of its own.

As of now, we know White Water Snacks will close “soon”, and re-open later this year with a new look.  During the closure you can find grab-and-go food and beverage options at Hearthstone Lounge.

But that’s not all! A new pool bar is coming to the Grand Californian in the spring of 2019! Check out this concept art from Disney…

The Arts and Craft- style bar incorporates natural boulder stonework and clinker bricks.  Plus, there will be a a custom tile mural at the back bar to set the craftsman tone in the new space. In addition, a trellis structure will provide shade and the perfect spot to relax and enjoy sipping beverages and snacking on appetizers. A variety of new lounge and table seating is promised.

As we wait while the work takes place in Disneyland for these updated and new spots, check out lots of Disneyland eats you can enjoy right now!
