What’s New in Disney’s Hollywood Studios — New Menus, Construction, and Pop-Up Bars! August 24, 2018
Lights, Camera, Action…it’s time to see what’s new in Hollywood Studios!
What’s New on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood Studios
We started our day out at Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) and found they are still offering the Incredibles 2 Red Velvet and Toy Story Land Grand Opening Cupcakes as their seasonal selections. We expect to see these change out to more Halloween/fall themed options soon. You’ll also find these two options at some Sunset Ranch Market locations as well.
The Popcorn Stands in the Hollywood Boulevard area are now carrying the Darth Vader Steins in addition to the Ice Cold Coca Cola Stand at the entrance of the park. The stein is $12.99 and is served with a fountain beverage.
If you are looking for a Sangria stop by the Pop Up Bars in the Hollywood Boulevard area to quench your thirst with your pick of a Red or White Sangria . The White Sangria is accented with Limoncello and the Red with Creme de Cassis. Each Sangria is $11.50.
On to the merchandise – this shirt is the story of my life:
And this shirt could describe just about any day!
As flip flop season draws to a close it’s time to stock up on socks. Cruella is too evil on these!
The Princess Lollipops have had a bit of a makeover – check these out. Belle is absorbed by that book she is reading.
What’s New on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios
Anaheim Produce has replaced the Mango Colada with a Sunset Strawberry Daiquiri. You can also pick up the Frozen Golden Margarita here as well.
Catalina Eddies and Rosie’s All American Cafe are offering the Toy Story Land Opening Cupcake and the Incredibles 2 Cupcake. Again, we expect to see these change out to more Halloween/fall themed options soon.
If you, or your kiddo, are looking to have your face painted for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you’re in luck! The face painting station is now offering Halloween themed designs. You can find this location near the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Which one are you picking?
What’s New in Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land
Pixar Place has been closed since the opening of Toy Story Land. There are now some more construction walls than when it closed initially and we can see something happening between the two buildings. Fans of Joffrey’s Coffee don’t despair – the Joffrey’s Coffee Stand is still open!
As we entered Toy Story Land we could see that they are now offering “pre-assembled” popcorn buckets with the “hidden food” design we love so much in addition to water at the entrance to this new area.
The handout menus for Woody’s Lunch Box have been updated to reflect the Monte Cristo is no longer available.
Check out the super-cute Grown-Up Lemonade tap handle at Woody’s!
What’s New on Commissary Lane in Hollywood Studios
Over at the ABC Commissary you can enjoy a new Watermelon Margarita – and a Toy Story Land Cupcake! That cupcake keeps popping up!
The Barbecue Ribs Platter at the ABC Commissary is no longer served with chicken.
What’s New on Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios
There is a new Pop Up Bar near the Muppet * Vision 3D theater. This location is serving the Toy Story themed cocktails that used to be at the now-closed Pop Up Bar in Pixar Place.
The Christmas Store is offering a lot of Jack Skellington and crew ornaments. Is it too early to put up our Christmas tree?
I don’t know about you, but these shatterproof Many Faces of Jack Skellington ornaments are needed in my house.
If your loyalties lie more towards Madame Leota and the Hitchhiking Ghosts check out these ornaments:
These Mater ornaments are great for your Halloween decorations – and they are the perfect replication of Mater’s Halloween costume in Disneyland!
The Stage 1 Company Store has a Jack Skellington Cookie Canister for hiding your Christmas Cookies or Halloween Treats.
And, we found that Oogie Boogie Krispie Treat with a Hidden Surprise. The kiddos are sure to love this one!
What’s New on Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios
The 50’s Prime Time Cafe has a new kids’ menu activity sheet featuring Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, and the Muppet Babies. Find out where your kiddos will also be able to meet Vampirina in Hollywood Studios this fall!
What’s New in Hollywood Studios Skyliner Construction and Parking
We’ll close this out with some updates on the construction for the new Skyliner System. The original area for the buses and trams is now closed. There is a new location for both of these drop offs.
There is a slightly longer walk from the new drop off locations as you walk along the construction of the Skyliner Station. Note that the walk between Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk is significantly longer as you have to walk around the construction as well.
With all the exploring done – it’s time to hop in my stretch limo and ride away!
