The Best Disney Donuts EVER.
Not that we need any excuse to dig into our favorite donuts (at the Disney Parks and in the real world!), but today is National Donut Day, so we’re basically obligated to eat as many donuts as possible.
But let us take a moment to wipe the glaze from our chins so we can bring you some of the coolest, tastiest donuts at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort! Grab a napkin, folks!
1. Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor’s Donut Sundae in Magic Kingdom
To celebrate National Donut Day with a side of awesome, head straight to Main Street Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and order the Donut Sundae.
This beauty is awesome on top of awesome, so you’ll want to block off some time to really savor it. Apple pie filling topped with glazed donut topped with ice cream, topped with whipped cream, hot fudge, peanut butter and chocolate chips, and a cherry.
Yes, we will eat dessert for breakfast, thankyouverymuch. :p
2. Ever-Changing Disneyland Donut Cart Donuts
That Disneyland Donut Cart by the castle has become the stuff of legend, and with ever-changing, super-creative donuts popping up on the regular, we love to stop and check out the daily offerings.
Recently we were tagged by @DoleWhipDaydreams on instagram with this UP-themed confection. You’ve got to see this beauty to believe it!
We’d also climb mountains to get our hands on the Matterhorn Macaroon Donut.
And the Dole Whip Donut? Kinda have to have one of those, too.
It’s donut day errrrryday at the Disneyland donut carts, y’all! But remember, these donuts are all limited time, so if you’re not there when THEY’RE there, you’ll have to wait until they come back around!
3. Cronut at Epcot’s Refreshment Port
Ever since the croissant donut (a/k/a the Cronut) appeared on the food scene several years back, it took the donut world by storm — and with good reason! This flaky, buttery donut-shaped croissant is indulgent and delicious. Thank goodness we can always get one on our world travels at Epcot’s Refreshment Port!
Of course, we’ve seen the Cronut in other forms, including savory ones during Epcot’s Festival of the Arts and mini cronuts at Casey’s in the Magic Kingdom! But Refreshment Port is your port of call for cronuts all year long!
4. Joffrey’s Donuts
Joffrey’s kiosks do donuts on a grand scale, with classic yeast donuts coated in colorful glaze — and nearly the size of your head! These aren’t going to radically alter the donut world as we know it, but for classic flavors in a gargantuan size, Joffrey’s does the trick!
Remember that these are actually locally-sourced Donut King donuts, so if you’re a Donut King fan — dig in!
5. Gourmet Donuts at Disneyland Hotel
Disneyland Hotel’s The Coffee House is the place to go for frequently-changing Gourmet Donuts, including the spot’s most recent contribution to the donut world: Strawberry Nutella.
This donut is filled with everyone’s favorite toast topper, Nutella, and it’s a real beauty to behold. And also to eat.
Don’t forget — you can also pick up a Dole Whip…or a Dole Whip with Rum!…at the coffee house as well. But it closes early, so get there early in the day!
So there you have it: awesome donuts to celebrate National Donut Day. Just so you know, tomorrow is a regular donut day, also not to be missed.
