The Disney Food Trend We Can’t Seem To Escape…
Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort tend to jump on particular food trends and…never let go. Right now, it’s all about the Push Pop.
The craze started slowly back in 2015 during Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival when France introduced the Peach Iced Tea ice pop.

Then France served the Ice Pop Pomme (an apple flavored alcoholic ice pop!) at that year’s Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

France followed that up the next year with a Frozen Daiquiri Ice Pop during Food and Wine.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen more iterations of the childhood favorite (many with a grown-up twist!), including the most recent addition to the Disney push pop universe: the Tiramisu Popsicle — layers of tiramisu gelato and coffee-soaked lady fingers packed into the handy plastic tube. Find this one in Epcot’s Italy!

Animal Kingdom recently debuted an Up!-inspired push pop loaded with cake and frosting for it’s 20th Anniversary Celebration and to commemorate the new Up! Bird Show.

During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in 2017, guests could spook up a Jack Skellington Push Pop at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. We didn’t love it, but it was fun and festive.

That fall and winter also saw Olaf get in on the push pop action during the Flurry of Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with his cake and frosting version.

And Jack Skellington was back at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — this time as Sandy Claws and tasting better than the Halloween version!

Disney California Adventure even brought guests a savory version during its Food and Wine Festival with the Garlic-Rosemary and Avocado Oil Ice Cream Pop.

What’s next for the push pop at the Disney Parks? We can’t wait to see! But like Disney food’s last food trend — popping pearls everywhere! — we suspect push pops will get even more love in the months to come!
